Switchgear

Bonkers price. I hope no one pays it. Wasn't so long ago these were available off the shelf from the Suzuki spares world at a very modest price.

280 euro!!!!!!! Rivet counters eat your hearts empty your wallets out.

if the year is correct, its a series II, (ND alternator) that means one alternator coil (for headlight main) is switched through the ND left hand item, early triples did not have this function (Bosch alternator of any output) so your Suzuki sourced switch needs to have that installed, there was another mod that needs doing of you use Suzuki stuff, from normally open to normally closed, a simple unsolder/resolder a single wire from existing to an unused blob (three blobs supplied, two used) it might have been the hooter?

EBay is your friend …… manage to get new left and right nos Suzuki switches for about £170 just took a bit of time finding them.

Some of the right hand Suzuki switches have provision for push-pull throttle cables. Possibly the GT750?
Might limit your choice if you have Mikuni or other carbs that have that cable system.

what was that you said Cam
push pull was it? no it cannot be, not you Cam
what you mean was pull pull (your words not mine) but we all knew what you meant, does one of your legs apear longer than the other?

Yeah, I know, Clem. But I went with push-pull because it seems to be the terminology used. I think possibly to avoid confusion with the other twin cable pull-pull type where the 2 cables pull in parallel (one cable to each of 2 carbs). I think we need a simple unambiguous term for the type where one cable opens the throttle and the other closes it. Feel free to come up with a better label than push-pull.

How about Desmodromic, positive open and closing throttle system might sell in the marketplace. All we need is a mythical Engineering Dr and we are set. Dr Cams patented system.

two way twistgrip

as SMBH said in the IOM when a journalist asked him about the "dangerous" TT circuit about to lose GP world championship status, "the throttle works both ways"
what he meant was twistgrip of course.
