Hi all I have recently had a replacement screen made for my SFC 750 fairing and found that is way too small. (too low in the bubble)
The supplier a reputable Sydney supplier made it off a template he had and its clear that it is not correct.
Does anybody have a template I can forward to him for an original screen profile.
The SFC 750 is a 1974 disc brake bike.

Hi Maurice,
MotoForza make them,
I have a spare that I drilled wwwwrrrrr....wwwrrrr.wwwrr.. never mind :ROFLMAO:
I can send it down to you if you like and you can see if its right then order from them.

Cheers
Tom

They are pretty low Maurice. I've seen many copies that are way too high in the bubble
This is mine when it was new and many years later
Definitely higher than that other SFC which is now in the hands of Faloon.

Lay a steel rule at the fibre bit and measure the rise in the perspex at the middle. Better than eyeballing pics. I hate drilling the bloody things, I was so happy that Hand Made drilled and fitted mine when I had a whoopsy heading home from Tassie.

No big deal drilling them Vince, it's only a 3mm hole. More chance cracking them by over tightening the fixings.
There's a bit more to it than measuring the height as you suggested. The actual shape of the cutout is important as well

Hey Rob after looking at yours maybe this screen isnt far off?? that does sit flat???
if you draw a straight line across the top of the rear wings how high would it be to the top of the bubble?

About 110mm Maurice give or take. Seem to remember when the new screen was fitted to that other SFC parked next to mine that was also way too high. I have a vague recollection of a conversation about it after he fitted it.

I guess it doesn't matter how high the screen is. Cut it to what is comfortable/practical for the user. It's only a screen
If I was doing an endurance race think I'd want it higher.
