The Alleged 17 Different Colors

Lads,

I think I recall seeing something showing the 17 different colors available around 1974. I know we don't know the exact paint codes, but does anyone have a list or something that shows what the colors were?

Going clockwise round that colour wheel, there's gold, yellowy gold then what is it, greeny gold. Anyone got a pic of a bike in that colour and know if it was available in 73 too
 
look at the link above, it shows all color names and mostly todays equivalents. Maybe not all colors have been delivered, but they were available.

I don't know that colour name it is - metallic silver?

Hi Olly,

it is very simple: look at the list, chose the 2 or 3 colors that you think could be what you look for, take the "Reference" tab of the list and google the color. For metallic silver, the reference is Ral 9006 Weibaluminium Lechler

will show you examples of the color and if that is what you are looking for - bingo ;-)

if not - check the next color, which is Sterling Silver 244 (BMW) shade number 1 Dupont

It's an S.

It's Peugeot/Citro?n grey.
I don't give a shit about factory colours, I want a colour that pleases me.
It was originally seasick green ex factory.

At the moment, it's not cool at all in the 35?C heat. It's got the original steel clutch which soon gets very grabby when hot, neutral finding becoming a thing of the past.
Next time I'm in there, an alloy clutch is going in.
I've been using the bike for a film and running back and forth at 20 km/h for an hour gets it nice and hot.

And all that because they said I'd be taking a young girl behind.
