I thought the Eagles held up pretty well with a team full of kids to replace Shuey, Yeo, Sheed, Kelly, Darling, Ryan, Allen, Cripps, Witherden, Cole, Duggan, Edwards and West all out for various reasons.

That could well have a silver lining that cloud - many a top class player is discovered when they get a chance to show their worth. The new 'Martin' (Nick) was completely overlooked in the AFL draft but found a different way in and showed his class last week.

Maybe Italia could have used some 'emergencies' when they were done over by Lower South East Macedonia and lost their place in the World Cup!!
 
That's ridiculous - and scary - no way anyone would survive if they fell over. And on the left of screen there are morons already on the ground and running before he even starts his run before kicking. So if he'd missed and kicked a behind??? Would they all have to pay the $30k for ground invasion? Don't know about anyone else but if were Buddy I wouldn't have enjoyed that one bit.
 
Well, I don't know what footage you were watching but everybody, including Buddy, were having a great time, one of the players knocked over a spectator and went after him and apologised, somebody scattered their nan's ashes on the centre square. From the close-up footage all I could see was absolute joy on everybody’s faces.
A real celebration for Buddy and the code in general I reckon.
 
Reminds me of the 1st Philip Island GP when Gardiner won, that track invasion also couldn't be stopped. Even boring old me jumped that fence.

Story I heard, when Zac Touoy shirtfronted the spectator, the bloke lost his keys. Zac picked them up, went back into the crowd and gave em back. Checked he was ok. Very Aussie.
