The Aussie depository.....

Up in smoke... ;)

Space X lost quite few during testing, 1/2 billion bucks(?) a shot. Makes you realise the sort of margins/profits the business promises.

Rightio, shows how fucked up our country is. We have Whyalla buckling at it’s knees and Mt Isa same. And now we are going to buy frigates off Japan, and subs of America (if they ever pull their finger out).

I see new imported military vehicles being shipped on trucks to the east coast, from Perth almost daily when out and about.

Townsville army base is chockers full of all manner of imported trucks and transporters. And there are a shitload of AJ’s living in fucking tents on the base.

Where the fuck has the Aussie can do attitude gone?

We have all the raw materials needed to build such vessels, vehicles and buildings, but we farm it out …. sadly, we are fucked.

The first few will be built in Japan, and the rest will be built in WA. Same with the Subs, the Nuclear Subs in particular are about as Complicated a Machine as it's possible to build, and it takes time to gear up for this stuff. Drawing from that, IF and it's a big if we go down the Nuclear Power route, at least the Subs with start a local nuclear industry. I watched a documentary on SBS about the last nuclear power plant built in England. It took decades, with huge cost overruns, built by a French company and financed by the Chinese, and you need to develop a suitable workforce. It's Engineering at extreme levels. This is far from simple or cheap.

Been a bit quiet here lately.

Cats have put in a magnificent late charge in the season and have put away the Hawks comfortably. Who's it going to be for the GF? Lions in front atm... ;)

Lions and Geelong….. an all feline grand final.

I’ve a feeling the Cats will win. Stop smiling Piet and Maurice….. but SWANNIES will be up there next year.

We were in a 4-hour wild taxi ride through the mountainous crazy roads of Bali trying to hotspot from our phones through Emily's VPN and her laptop - unsuccessful, so little score checks. Looked good for half a game. Saved the last quarter until we'd arrived and watched the replay of it. Not worth the effort. Sad, total capitulation. No Tom Stewart, no Cameron ... Sorry Piet, you'll have to wait another year!

Lions too good on the day, congrats!

Yeah, always next year... actually wasn't expecting the Cats to do so well this season with Hawkins and Touhy hanging up their boots, but they managed to fill those and other gaps well.

The finger-pointing has started instead of blaming the despicable, insane killers. They cannot help themselves, even in these circumstances. Revving people up is not good. Staining the sands of that beach, beyond scum.

Accepting the truth of the situation, the bigger picture, is something the police, and political leadership plainly have not accepted. Indeed, they are at fault .

Accountability is a critical part of the process particularly noting the lack of action taken in regard recommendations in a report delivered to them in May and other warnings of unrest and examples of what was to come!
Unfortunately it appears our mealy mouths are trying to frame the narrative as a gun law issue to take the heat off, but obviously this will only go so far.......................
