Throttle twist grip replacement due to motogadget switch controls being fitted

Hi All,
I am replacing the handle switch gear on my SF2 with motgadget switch gears as as am also installing a motogadget mo-unit.
The original switch gear is damaged beyond repair after a scourned lady took a hammer to the bike, not my good woman it was a previous owners wife.

I am therefore needing to replace the throttle as the current one is built into the switch gear.

Any help in a replacement would be appreciated, dont want cheap and nasty.

Thanks

There are plenty of good aftermarket throttles units available. Domino (formerly Tommasselli?) are great quality. For an SF with 36mm carbs it is a great upgrade (as I have done) to fit a bigger one and shorten the carb springs so they aren't consequently too heavy, so you can access full throttle without dislocating your wrist. It is very easy to make new cable to suit (has been discussed here on the forum), Venhill have nylon lined cable kits.

I prefer twinpull throttles, so that’s what I usually have, some NOS, some used.

I agree. Twin cable is the way to go for twin carbs.
This one is stamped 'Germany'. I'm guessing Magura? Are they still available today?

Brilliant, thanks everyone, i'm heading over to the Domino site to see whats what.
I think I'm going to go singgle cable though as I hav the splitters that go under the tank and they are ingood condition as are the cable that come from them for throttle and choke.

Except for the USA models which had SF2 throttle system (and SF2 wiring as well). I ditched that from mine and went to twin pull and now I have a proper SFC wiring harness from Wolfgang. Also going to put Smiths tach in place of the ND's. Need to find proper clip-ons now.

Jim
You’re so right Jim. Forgot about them US SFCs. 😀
