Tilt angle for side stand

Of course I could wind CAM up a bit more and say if he happened to run over someone and that that someone (if alive), could then reach up and grab said lever, pull the sidestand down, tilt the bike to the left and crawl out from under the bike towards the right.
But I won't.

I'm more inclined to say that I have never had an issue with my 120 sidestand and the answer to that is that the 120 sidestand was probably yet another improvement made over the 180!  :o :o

Angry replies welcome of course.......

We really should get a comprehensive list of the improvements of a 120 over a 180 to shut them up, side stand, fourth gear, gear shift on correct side, web cracks fixed, oil scavenging better blah de blah, the list is endless!

soft laundered with a nice fabric softener :-*

Apart from the occasional tendancy for a rod to let go...

If I had the cash I'd get a RGS or similar like a shot, just so I could experience the "other end" of Laverda's triple production run.

I second that emotion.
Much better looking of course too, and a better class of driver.  8)

Hi Cam that other rubber which is shorter on the original stand and is for a stopper that rests against the frame, personally i don't like side stands particularly these self collapsing Laverda ones, just recently I was on my Moto Guzzi at the petrol station ready to check tyre pressure when i pushed my foot on what I thought was the side stand when in fact it was the tip of the gear lever, TIMBER down we go in front of a line of cars getting petrol, fuck the side stands :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Know what you mean Maurice, when I proudly rocked up on my XL125 in '79 at the new Macdonalds in the High St in front of assembled yoof,  I flipped the stand...and promptly fell off under bike onto pavement as stand went down a drain. :-[
Nick7  But the Bushman stand is a must have on my 180 Jota....

The standard 180 Sidestand is shit, nice new set of Stainless Keihans, put the bugger on the Sidestand on a bit of an odd camber, turned my back, fucker fell off the stand and,"LO!" big dent in Pipe. Took the thing off and binned it, perhaps if I still had it I could put it on FleaBay to give you lot a laugh.
Centerstand or lean it against a wall for me!.

Spider,
We share your pain with that one...but seriously, and I speak as one whose Jota fell of the original type stand...the Bushman side stand mounting is the dogs. Life is so much easier and Jim will pay for any damage occuring if it falls over :D :D :D
