Timing light in combination with Moto Witt DMC

Now i have a second Laverda 750 in my workshop with a Moto Witt DMC ignition, whereby my timing light does not work properly. Both bikes are equipped with a brand new battery, new spark-plug leads and caps, new spark plugs and my timing light is also brand new.

My timing light supplier (SP8000 AccuSpark™ Timing light) told me wen the timing light dont pick up the signal from the spark-plug lead, your ignition system does not work well.

Other 750 what I've been working on recently with Boyer Bransden Electronics ignition, my timing light works excellent!

Does someone have the same problem (weak signal) with the Moto Witt ignition? How can i solve this?

Known characteristic of DMC, ditto Tacho requires inductive trigger coil addition, most probable high dwell, over saturated coil primary with dwell extension. Far from a weak characteristic for the DMC, it does provide an adequate spark, ....HTH j

Very strange to design an ignition system that doesn't allow the timing to be checked with a normal timing light with inductive pickup. I have never encountered that before. Inductive pickup on my timing light is marked which side must go towards the plug or it does not work properly.

As I know from the 120 deg DMC 1and 2. Ignition will adjusted by static measurments and you set the marks of tdc with an edding and ignition timing by a small wire tool and then you controll with a flashing light…
