TIRES!

Well I got a BT80V rather then a BT70V. What do you think?

MY rear Tire is a BT 130V.

Send the front tire BACK?

The bike is an 8000RPM 71 750 SF.

Should I change cams and look for dual 36 Mikuin's?

As if: Or track "HEAVY" Bios 80v's on the front?

I'm learning to hate Perelli.

Ron

Put the whole description of the tyre up ie. bridgestone bt45 100/90-18

from what I can see youre talking profile for the front and then referring to width for the rear

You got it Cosi

I'm pushing the limit for tire size on my SF and spent a fair amount of money searching for that perfect combination - Iincluding bias rear and radial front combinations.

I like radial for cursing but they tend to hold you straight up when thrashing corners and you can't feel that slip point.

Do I need this BT45 V80/110 on the front - Just too big and heavy were as a 70 profile would work best for a SF from my experience.

My rear tire is a BT45 V70/130 which I like very much.

Tomorrow I will phone Canada Motorcycle and get this straightened out.

What I'm asking fellow Breganze enthusiasts is: Should I try this big and heavy BT45 V80/110 on the front or should I insist they send me the BT45 V70/110 which I ordered. Definitely got to consider the viscosity of my fork oil.

Springs on hand and it's almost time to ride in Canada.

Looking at the BT45 V80/110 is a BIG HEAVY Tire and perhaps too much for a SF front tire?

After fiddling about I went back to the standard factory sizes/profiles and low and behold the bike now handles better than ever.
Perhaps they were onto something?

My rim's are original 70 SF 18" WM3 Baronni 3.78 inches wide.

Shoe them with WHAT on a SF?

I think I approaching my quest.

Again should I retort and demand exchange for a 70.

My rim's are the original 70 SF 18" WM3 Baronni 3.78 wide.

The other part of the equation is that I'm 66 years old at 5'11" and weight 140lbs suffering most all my bones broken at one time or the other.

I'm no Joey Dunlop, may he R.I.P.

Here's Joey at the wheel of a Honda V4 Enjoy:

I know that link is not true at most times but if you can find a better one: Notify Me.

My mistake: Apparently the BT45 V70/110 does not exist and I got what I ordered.

This BT45 V80/110 is a monster of a front tire for a SF.

God Help me.

Generally anything over an 80 by 100 tire are just too big for a 3.75" Borrani rim and if you entice it further the tire will not last more then a year due to cracking around the Pads as the designed shape goes out to lunch with STD Tire Pressure.

Your probably best off with of a 120/80 on the Rear (If you can find one) and a 100/80 on the the Front on the WM3 18" x 3.75" Borrani rim.

I rather like the 70 profiles for a SF but you can't find them any more.

Been there and can't escape it - I LIKE Big Tires and it's not worth a dime or to say the &^%* in effort and expense to go bigger.
