To sell or not to sell?

As the world is going mad, thanks to Mr Putin, his mates and a bunch of jingoistic western ‘leaders’ (I also expect to wake up in the next few days to the news China has invaded Taiwan) I‘m thinking my nice collection of bikes might not be of much use to me soon.
Therefore, open to all reasonable offers - providing it‘s sufficient to pay for a suitable nuclear bunker beneath my house. 🤯

I think that's the problem. He's coming up to his allotted three score years and ten. He's nearly had his life so he's not overly worried about cocking up everybody else's. And of course marking his place in history ffs.

With the current price and availability of steel and cement at the moment I might yet have to weld them altogether to provide the reinforcement for the concrete. At least they would be preserved for future alien archaeologists to ponder what strange burial practices were performed during the latter stages of human existence. 🤣

UK RAISES ALERT LEVEL
The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent Russian threats and have therefore raised their security level from “Miffed” to “Peeved.” Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to “Irritated” or even “A Bit Cross.” The English have not been “A Bit Cross” since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies nearly ran out. The Russians have been re-categorized from “Tiresome” to “A Bloody Nuisance.” The last time the British issued a “Bloody Nuisance” warning level was in 1588, when threatened by the Spanish Armada.
The Scots have raised their threat level from “Pissed Off” to “Let’s Get the Bastards.” They don’t have any other levels. This is the reason they have been used on the front line of the British army for the last 300 years.
The French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from “Run” to “Hide.” The only two higher levels in France are “Collaborate” and “Surrender.” The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France’s white flag factory, effectively paralyzing the country’s military capability.
Italy has increased the alert level from “Shout Loudly and Excitedly” to “Elaborate Military Posturing.” Two more levels remain: “Ineffective Combat Operations” and “Change Sides.”
The Germans have increased their alert state from “Disdainful Arrogance” to “Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs.” They also have two higher levels: “Invade a Neighbour” and “Lose.”
Belgians, on the other hand, are all on holiday as usual; the only threat they are worried about is NATO pulling out of Brussels.
The Spanish are all excited to see their new submarines ready to deploy. These beautifully designed subs have glass bottoms so the new Spanish navy can get a really good look at the old Spanish navy.
Australia, meanwhile, has raised its security level from “No worries” to “She’ll be alright, Mate.” Two more escalation levels remain: “Crikey! I think we’ll need to cancel the barbie this weekend!” and “The barbie is cancelled.” So far, no situation has ever warranted use of the final escalation level.

having lived and worked in Ukraine for nearly 4 1/2 years, I find the current situation very disturbing if not outright tragic
the people of Ukraine never deserved to be attacked as they are being done so now by that arsehole Putin
is tragic, I think of all the people I worked with during those years and just hope they are safe or have escaped to Poland
which is probably the next country to be attacked by Putin and his corrupt cronies

sorry if I offend anyone on this forum for my views but having lived there for so many years and worked with them, can truthfully say they are decent people that do not deserve this shit

I would think your in one of the safest places in the world

I would think your in one of the safest places in the world
you may think that but I seem to recall the IOM was quite high up in the getting clobbered stakes in a list I saw a couple of years ago, although I think it was more a case of collateral damage than being directly targeted. Evenso, I’m off to Norway for a few days, so hopefully common sense will have prevailed by the time I get home...

I worked with a number of guys in Ukraine and have had contact today - I am really saddened by the situation - one was saying help is too late and the other took 7 hours to travel 250k to the west of Kyiv to take his wife and child as far as he could - Putin is a modern day Hitler in the making killing innocent people to satisfy himself - it seems there is no option for the Ukrainians but to fight as they are proud people and the rest of Europe has to stand by for reasons not to start ww3

Apologies I know this is a bike forum but today was difficult to talk to friends who are faced with life threatening choices !
