I was looking through the superb calendar Malcolm Cox put together and came across a beautiful green 3C belonging to the late Tom Mitchie. It looks suspiciously like tom3c75's bike. Has he passed away? Does anybody know?

Well said Pat, but to expand a little.....

I had known Tom for about 40 years, and had supplied him with spares for about that time.
Tom was one of the most polite decent customers I have ever known, and I am proud to say he was a friend, sobeit
from afar....
His 1975 early spoke wheel 3c was and is absolutely lovely, and to those wanting a 3c, it would be a bench mark
motorcycle to aspire to......
I learned Tom was ill with pancreatic cancer, and at the same time his wife Pam was/is wheelchair bound with Motor Neurone
disease.
It was no surprise to me that Tom sold their home, and everything, and Pam went into a care home, and Tom left full provision
for her financially.....
We then very sadly lost Tom, and certainly from my prospective as a friend, customer and decent all round guy I paid testament
to him in using one of his favourite pictures he sent to me of his 3c, I used it in th calendar I just produced.
All ofhis bikes wre spotless, beautiful, all had his own mark on them, and all well used and ridden......

I will miss Tom immensely and hope this may inform others of this lovely man's demise......
