Another legend of the motorcycling world has passed away. 3 times a TT winner, Tony was handy rider on a variety of machines and due to his unfortunate racing accident he probably would have gone on to many more wins in his racing career.
After his accident, which left him wheel chair bound, Tony concentrated on running the highly successful motorcycle business founded by his father Allan.
Despite his predicament, Tony retained an amazing sense of humour and was always ready for a laugh and a joke at TT Riders Association other events we both attended. I will particularly remember him for the support and encouragement he gave me when I bought an OW01 from him in 1993 that had been by raced by his son David.
A real gent and will be sadly missed by all that knew him.
