while searching for old clutch plates in boxes not opened in years I came across these little treasures
Does anybody reckonise what model the l/h gear conversion is from. I'm thinking 750.
Marnix would reckonise most of the other stuff.

Sure do, cool stuff indeed. Suppose that selection of sprockets came with the bike when you bought it?

LH shift conversion is for US model 750. Not quite complete though, cross-over linkage shaft is missing.

Wanna sell?

Hi Marnix, as well as the 2/1. Also got a bunch of other stuff,.
The what looks like H/C pistons are arias and were for the SFC but I used standard pistons instead.
Some cool stuff like light weight spring retainers and nuts. Triple wound valve springs.

As for the l/h conversions they may have come back in a box from California or they may have come in a box from Melbourne.
More than likely Melbourne. Spend too much time in a place you collect stuff.

Well Piet, it's of no use to me. We could trade.

Hi Rob, is the needle roller bearings inside the cam chain wheels an SFC thing, or was that done by you? New ones i just fitted from wolfgang are plain nylon like the other set you have there.

Marty,

SFC damper and tensioner wheels came with needle bearings, at least from 74-on. These also have their dedicated axles. Two earlier SFC engines I have recently rebuilt had the plain items, not entirely sure if that was standard or not.

Needle bearings only on the disc brake models, yes.

Yep, SF3 LH shift set. Sprockets with holes are SFC as mentioned.

Rob, are the lightweight valve spring retainers for 750s and if so do you want to sell them? I've looked briefly for used Yoshimura kits for Z1 and Z1000 Kwakas (two valve, 7mm stems) hoping there'd be plenty lying about from early superbike racing, but no go. new kits (8 retainers) are too pricey. I'll probably end up using std ones.

Q,
Long them plan is to use them on the SF1 motor that I hope to rebuild at some stage. Sooner rather then later.
Same goes for those pistons.
Anyone preferably Oz based have a set of outer crank webs for a 750 they like to sell let me know.
I'd like to build that motor to use in the SFC for track purposes, maybe go racing.

Here are those anti-vibration wheel axles (SF and SFC)
Never seen a dedicated tensioner wheel axle though ?

Neither have I, Steph. I use the SFC cam whels but with std SF axles. I'm assuming it's no big deal to convert SF ones for the needle roller by machining up the cetnres and pressing in the bush for the needle bearing - or is the metal centre moulded in?

No worries, Rob. Good thinking. What happened to the SF crank you had on your mum's front porch? I know where the centre went ( ) but the four webs should still be around ... somewhere!
