Triple cam chain pillar

I know the subject has already come up but I cannot find the answer, so: which way does the cam chain pillar on a triple go? Towards the centre of the engine or towards the left?
Thanks
Paul

once you have it corectly aligned and bolted up, mark it with a centre dot, one on the cases and another adjacent to it on the pedestal. I do this every time I see an engine that has not been done, saves the thinking phase in the future, never look back, never get it wrong, always visible.

Will do Clem, though I hope never to look in there again.

Mine was already marked. Dot next to the bearing.
