Triple engine case breather hose modification

... like on all my LAVERDA triples, I mounted today a engine case breather with K&N filter to my old and faithful Sulzbacher LAVERDA 1000 3CL. Now the breather hose no longer ends in front of the rear wheel. Ciao, Gert

Gert, in your first picture, can you elaborate on the setup you have for the screw to hold your side cover on, is that a Laverda part. I have a 78 that only had the rubber bungs to keep the side covers in place (not always). I improvised a more secure setup but yours looks far superior, thanks.
 
Hi Dave, it is a nickel plated furniture screw with a transparent rubber disc underneath. I modified the side panels because without air filter box they tend to fly away ... Ciao, Gert

This is how I resolved the problem of the disappearing side panel:
I use 4 mm. strimmer line with a simple loop knot above, invisible when the side panel is fitted.
Worst that happens is the front pops and stops. It also has the advantage that the side panels stay 'on the bike', saving you from the prospect of stepping back onto one and breaking it. DAHIKT?

I'm thinking along those lines. Fixing a hook on the inside of the side panel with epoxy resin and linking the panels very much like you've done.
