Triple Oil choice

hi Richard, yes I use the Halford classic 20/50 or Morris golden never had any problems. Change it every 1000 miles.
First Wednesday in the month we (guzzi club) meet up at the crown and thistle at Kidsgrove.
Regards Andy 😁

Ar I came along to a meet-up at that Inn, maybe last year or the year before on my little Guzzi 750T, which I've since sold. Also on my Mirage years before, to The BlueBell. My Laverda has been pretty much laid up for a few years, since then, but I'm in the process of getting it all up and running, hence the oil question. Sounds like I'll be fine with any half decent 20W50 oil, providing It gets dumped regularly. If I can get the bike all running, with new fluids, I'll join you down at the Crown & T, although, my next issue is sticking clutch plates, possibly from standing not used for a while.
Regards Richard

Come come Nick less of that modesty, when it comes to oil threads, everyone is an expert.

I have never known an engine failure due to the "wrong oil"

Hallelujah!  Bless you for saying it Clem!  (congrats)

And that's my first and last contribution to a "What oil should I use?"  thread.  Ever ...  (bolt)

that wasn't no oil, it was failure to put some oil in, not the oils fault.
but good news all you die hard tossers who thought this was now Halfords own brand, seems you are wrong it can still be bought

Mine ran on Duckhams 20/50 since it was new, for the first forty years. I switched to VR-1, on Alan's recommendation, when Duckhams was NLA. Bought 20 litres and then they released Duckhams again!
I may go back. I'll decide when I get to the last of my VR-1.

I am sure going to get me some of that. It better not be fake ..

Although the true afficionado might consider it better to purchase a proper period can of Duckhams , such as this

DURON X-Shell (Petro Canada) conventional Diesel 15w40 honey transparent DINO (Non Synthetic) Oil is fantastic and that's my final response.

Truck Stops have it across Canada: Can't say where it's available elsewhere ?
