Series one vs series 2 mesh oil filter. Is there any reason not to run the series 2 mesh in the early motor?

Do you put any magnets in the oil filter Marty?

Not a bad idea. I have a couple that I could use. The series 2 filter that came out of the 81 jota had a serious amount of metal in it.

The Series 1 filter (joke) brought back memories of summer nights crabbing on the Swan River with homemade crab traps..

My 78 1200 has a later-model 120 oil pump retrofitted. I hope it doesn't overwhelm the flow capacity of the old 180 filter
