new tyres needed for the jota, bt46s not in stock anywhere,settled on sport demons , could only get a 120/80 rear though
hopefully be ok-dont like the michys, is this happening in other states?need a bt 46 front for the 3c to match the near new rear
is a pain

Difficult getting BT46 in the UK 2 months ago (don't know if that has changed since). I heard the same story at 2 bike shops, saying they couldn't get hold of them and had been told that as Bridgestone ramped up production after Covid disruption, they had prioritised car and truck manufacture, so to expect delays with bike tyres. I have no idea whether the reason is correct, or if I am just perpetuating a rumour, but it made sense if their is limited capacity or resource.
 
The only BT46 avilable in the sizes I wanted, in October '21, [110/90 front, 140/70 rear] were H rated. I had to go to a 100/80 F and 130/80 R to get a V rated pair.
As luck would have it, Bridgestone listed both my first choices in V ratings, three weeks after I'd fitted the alternates.
I enquired avilability with my supplier and was told "Not available until late in '22."
Took a look, this morning, and found some listed as "in stock" with some suppliers, though not my usual one.
 
Would that Bridgestone be a T31, I had some dealing with the Oz Bridgestone importer, ex RGS rider and he was really helpful but said he didn't know what tyres he would get till he opened the Cargo Container. What he ordered and what he got were not the same usually. He got what the factory wanted to send or had available. Everybody uses than just in time manufacturing system with zero stock sitting on shelves these days.
