Tyre Recommendations - SF1

Good Day to all - Happy Plum Pudding Day

I need to put some new rubber on the SF1 the date code shows they are 14 years old, always seemed Ok dry but I got caught in a shower the other week hair raising few miles home very unpredictable. Any opinions on what to use? or do I just buy some obvious classic bike tyres, it looks like Dunlop, Firestone, Avon, Metzeler or Cheng Shin... I bet even the Cheng Shin will be better that what i've got now. I won't do big mileage so whatever feels good, I've just had Avon Spririt on my modern bike and that has made a massive difference to the ride, I'm sure there must be something that suits the SF1..

Same as would be recommended on triples - loads of threads on it. Bridgestone BT46s I think I recall being popular?

A tyre thread?
I've put tens of thousands of km on Metzelers, first Lazertec until the 120 rear disappeared, and now I have Roadtec 01 on one of my 750s.
Put 7000 km on a pair of Battlax BT46 this summer with my SF2. Very pleased.
