Ultrasonic cleaning

What are you guys using in your ultrasonic baths?  Is there a single product that does everything?  I've used a variety of combustables (acetone, cellulose thinners, paraffin) with mixed results, and even a dilute solution of drain cleaner.  None of which are ideal/safe/ecologically sound.  I once bought some branded 'ultrasonic cleaning solution' from RS that was crap, even soapy water gave better results.

swesty, you can do your own search here, top right hand side of screen. This topic has been broached many times, so searching should be of some help.

...you're better off using the Search tool from the menu bar (between Help and My Messages).  It uses a different application and results are much better

I used nitro-glycerine and the dirt disappeared in no time.  :D

Yeah, but so did the parts, the US cleaner, and the shed.

I'm using Tickopur R33 which is safe on aluminium and works very well but others say "Dasty Super Degreaser Dishes" is as good and much cheaper.
Don't expect miracles from an ultrasonic cleaner you still have to remove most of the dirt before putting it in to get the best results.

Chris
