Hi All

A friend/colleague of mine runs a [UK] business with a great deal of low volume specialist manufacturing facilities (CNC / 3D printing incl metals / 3D scanning / moulding / carbon / all the high tech stuff). Automotive engineering of all kinds. He is open minded to small batches.

Are we in need of any parts? Anything becoming rare / too expensive / unobtainable? Let's find out what could truly keep us off the road.

Dealers can PM me for private business-based chats.

Paul.

Corsa cylinder heads, no point in making any other head for a triple
they don't have to be stamped CR

Triple disc wire hubs, at a better price than those available ATM. https://www.moto-officina.com/images/com_droppics/87/553b6f30e4d3c.jpg
I just bought a front hub from USA for another project (Japanese) https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0281/8612/products/FHGSXR-101_2_2048x.jpg?v=1568669942
It is CNC machined and less than half the price of others, even shipped, for Laverda. ;)

Paid US$336.00 plus shipping
Nowt using cush drive Q ................ is a front wheel hub.

Makes more sense - you didn't specify fr or rr - I got a CNC billet front replica hub from DAM - similar price I think ... maybe A$400?

To get back on topic ...  :D

Paul, J-L recently asked over at Laverdamania if anyone might be capable of making molds from which various rubber bits* might be made.  He has a link to a rubber man, but the problem is the mold making - or rather, the cost of the mold making.

if your bud can do it at Mate's Rates, maybe that might help?

* Tank mounts, carburettor intakes, tank and battery straps, side cover brackets, 120 degree triple engine silentblocks ...

The Laverdamania comment was about the perceived low quality of rubber recently, ie damage occurring after a few months.
Not unobtainable parts.

Not sure what parts are referred to here. I do know a person that has been manufacturing rubber parts for Laverda, and they last for years. The sidepanel gromets on the 3Cl have lasted 21 years now, no sign of wear or damage.

clutch and rear wheel cush drive rubbers have been crap lately, they just don't last like the factory ones did, and they are probably being made by the same company (Ariete?) !

I have the same problem on my Pan European, the factory rear wheel cush drive rubbers lasted 35,000 miles from new, (and 20 years)the replacement ones, doesn't matter if in genuine Honda packets or aftermarket packets, last about 5,000 miles or one year, I use them for another year but the "clonk" on first gear take up is annoying.
I would happily pay more for a product with some longevity.
it seems the parts are being made to fix and flog the bikes, with no due regard for a long term ownership.

Well, go on, spill the beans then, Gerald!  Who?

You might save Jean-Louis a lot of unnecessary effort ...  :D

Tell me what you want, and I will inquire if he is interested. Personal data protection is something I respect, and therefore won't disclose his name or whereabouts.
