Update to dented SFC1000 tank

Just letting yous know the outcome,
After stupidly dropping the bike against the door post and putting a dent in the tank,
I took LJ-2 Shaun’s recommendation and took my tank to https://www.motorcycledentremoval.co.uk/
Andy is a nice guy and he did a fantastic job, I thoroughly recommend him.
He repaired it without having to repaint or replace decals, and really quickly as well,
Very pleased with the result.
I had to strip the tank as far as possible, taps and filler necks, it’s a bit of a pain as the fillers have not been removed in the 22 years I have had it, maybe not ever, so the gaskets were a bit tricky to get off, but I have made some nitrile replacements.
See “before with dent” and “after repair” images,
“happy” Stuart

These guys do magic if they are realy good... I had some dents in my car some years ago. The guy took a long look at them, hot-glued according plastic parts on them, took a slide-hammer and popped them out. Question of maybe 1 minute in total per dent, well worth the 80€ I gave him for the 3 dents in the car!

I have a 1000 SFC tank that was donated to me by a kind and nice dutch forum member. I will try to get the dents out as soon as I have it back from Boba.
