Valuations for insurance

Would ILOG valuations be valid/accurate in the Laverda desert of North America?
I have thought about getting an evaluation for my Lav, in the case of accident and an insurance company saying "That bike is 50 years old and only worth $100. Last estimate for an eval was $350, probably more now with supply chain issues. ;)

I (currently) do the valuations for ILOC and I would not be up to speed for a North American registered bike.

Having had a few bikes burnt that were only insured third party, I have now had my bikes valued. In France, that entails seeing an insurance expert who in my case came to my place and spent half a day taking photos and notes and a month later sent me a very complete dossier for each of the 7 motorcycles he looked at. I was pleasantly surprised, he must have spent a lot of time scouring the auction results worldwide. This was then forwarded to my insurer who insures the bikes third party, fire and theft for the value the expert indicated.

The valuation cost me €700 for the 7 bikes, insurance costs me €650 a year. The 7 machines are valued for about € 115 000.

Was that pre or post market collapse ?
You'd need to ask the insurance expert.
With inflation running at 10% in most of our, least hard hit countries, the real value of our Laverda motorcycles is diminishing by at least as much.

You might be able to make a fast buck with a Suzuki GSXR or a Yamaha OW7. Too late for the RC30. But you'll have to sell quick, you won't be allowed to ride any of them soon.
