Hi all, I am looking to source either the tacho drive from an RGA / SFC 1000 cam cover (items in picture 48 to 51) or a complete cover with tacho drive installed.

Part Numbers as per attached diagram are:

Ref 48 - 21 604 150 x 1
Ref 49 - 33 114 824 x 1
Ref 50 - 33 111 081 x 2
Ref 51 - 40 103 279 x 1

Cheers Scott

Looks very similar to that on the end of the cam on the 750 and on the top cover of 180 triples.
Ratios likely to be the same since all can use the ND tacho.
Have you compared parts numbers? You may be focusing too narrowly?
If not sure then let us know and I or someone else here can check parts number for the other models.

Hi Arancia, I believe they are all different. I have heard the 500 drive can be used but needs some small modification and I think they can be sourced. I have attached at few pictures of other Laverda drives a gentleman in France forwarded which he had for sale. I am not sure I have their bike alignment correct but they are indeed different. On my bikes these are driving Veglia Tacho's FYI.

21 604 150 is the same part number as my 500 parts list so certainly worth looking where there may be other parts in common.

Hard to believe that for such small production runs as the RGA and SFC that Laverda would have unique parts produced?

Good luck.

Thanks Arancia, I assume none of the other part numbers match to 500 tacho drive? I am sure its been used on other bikes or cars but the issue is ID'ing which ones. Seems all the spares have been used as some have forced the cam cover on without twisting the drive can shatter the drive teeth. Hopefully someone will have one. Cheers

The Veglia tach has a larger fitting than the ND Instruments.
The RGA came with ND instrument so different cable again.
I had to make a adapter for the SFC cable to fit the 180 cam cover. I did it so long ago I can't remember why. Looking at the cable with exposed wire casing I may have to revisit the why with a new cable. The cable was supplied by Wolfgang

Having said that I would have used an SFC cable when I first fitted the instruments when I built my Motodd back in 1986.
The veglias and cables I brought from Phil Todd and they fitted so don't know why the replacement cable from Wolfgang needed an adapter to work.

Drive bush is the same reference as the 500, apparently the drive shaft isn't.
I came up with this which was in a bag with various tacho drives. I'm not sure what it is though. 500 or 120°

As for Laverda commissioning small batches, how many Electronica did they make?

Hi Paul, thanks for that. I'll measure tomorrow and revert, but it does look correct I think, cheers Scott
