Wasting Time

A few days ago while flicking through the net I noticed a really nice set of SW Motech Aero Paniers for sale dead cheap at $80 and pretty local. I let it slide for a couple of days and by then I was convinced my soft panniers had lasted enough so I contacted the seller and yep still available. He told me who was the local agent so I did some research on mounting frames. Bloody hell, nothing under $170 each and that didn't include modifying them in a big way to fit my 3c. So hoping I could find a way past that expense I rang the pannier bloke back and said yes. That's when he tells me if I can beat the OTHER bloke to the Blue Mountains they were mine. The frame retailer was also in that direction but at 3pm that wasn't happening so, I said if there still around on Friday I would buy them. 1 hour later I get a text, there sold. So my cheap, they retail for the lot new at $1000 panniers didn't happen. O well.

I just googled SW Motech Aero panniers. They retail for around $400. Would have been a good buy at $80.
I guess you have to be quicker off the mark to grab the bargains.

If you see any other bargain panniers that take your fancy, don't be put off by having to make or modify frames. You can buy yourself a single phase inverter stick welder for about $150. :)
