Bearing in mind the 750 Laverda engine was in some ways an enlarged CB72/77 Honda engine I thought maybe some of you would like to see what Honda did when they made a race version of the bike.
It looks to me like the CR72/77 engine shown in the link would bolt straight into a stock CB72 frame. Needless to say these motors are very rare. I reckon for 1963 this was an impressive piece of kit.

I've just looked at the frame mounts, it wouldn't fit straight in possibly because the cam box is huge compared to the original head.
I have a mate who is heavily into restoring the very early bikes and he dearly wants that motor. He has the ability to reproduce a lot of it but he thinks he will be outbid by a hoarder.
Incidentally the road version of the CR93 is a seriously pretty and very rare bike too with the same type of double overhead cam set up. They generally go for around ?30,000.
