"Hi Andrew, Mick Walker says: "In the 1975 model year, the 3C(E) was also introduced. This was the standard production 3C 1000/1, redone by Richard Slater with the 750SFC fork yokes, high compression pistons, wider profile cams and a Slater-designed less restrictive exhaust system, featuring a larger diameter collector box and virtually opened unbaffled silencers. In many ways the 3C(E) was the forerunner of the legendary Jota."
all very true Gert and that is what was advertised but if someone came along and ordered a 3CE and they hadnt got one ready, those extra bits might have all been there or some of them or even none of them (possibly) but for sure they were going to sell a bike and it would be called a 3CE, they also stamped at a sloping angle the letters 3CE onto the already existing chassis numbers, but again not all of them, this being the easy bit to do and almost cost free, I wonder why some dont have it, same as a genuine Monty, in the beggining hot cams, close ratio gearbox, etc etc and then............, but still called a Monty, lets not start on what is or what is not a Jota, or even a Jarota.
