bout time we got some serious discussion on this forum.....  (bolt)

Have we finally answered every conceivable technical question about Laverdas on this forum?

When the conversation degenerates to footwear fashion, then I can only assume we have nothing useful left to say.  ::)

Back to the topic in hand...
One big problem I have is that it?s a hell of a scrum (of wiring) behind the headlamp bowl as well as inside it. Could this be because the wiring is there to accommodate the fairing that has been removed sometime since 1980? Now it is a naked bike, the extra lengths of all the wiring is just too much to fit into the small space within and behind the headlamp bowl?

Triple headlight bowls have always been a rats nest.  Bikes originally fitted with a fairing were no different.  I can't remember a provision for a fairing in the loom.

The later MkII were a little tidier as connectors got smaller, but all main connections were still inside the bowl.  Once the bodges of the past are removed, it should all fit inside easily... sort of. :D

The series 2 was a bit less cluttered inside the headlamp bowl as, like the RGS series, the switchgear connections were under the tank.

Thanks to Steve for the Croc solution and to Grant and Piet for telling me it?s all normal. I telephoned Mr Slater earlier this week who confirmed all of this...he said he wasn?t sure about the wiring but Crocs were shit.

On the beach at Somerset (Cape York) I found a Croc tail skin, with a key ring in it and a Aussie sales tag. (New, never used) Like this: https://www.auscrocsouvenirs.com.au/crocodile-tail-keyring-p4/

Made me wonder: Who trained the Crocs to go up onto the beach, cut off some of their tail skin, put a split ring through it, and add a sales tag?
