What did you do to or for or with your Laverda today?

Hey Cam, have methylene chloride on the shelf I use for sticking perspex and styrene together. Not enough quantity to strip a frame unfortunately. Probably won't have much choice in the way of strippers at the local Walpole hardware but I'll give it a try. Going to Perth this week so maybe can find something that'll work better. I'll let you know how it goes anyway.

Today I progressed a bit further with the '77 Jota rebuild [see the other thread for more info] and then went out on the RGS. 120km on the red 'un this afternoon, just got back and it's 5'C now - my fingers are just starting to thaw out. Busting for a piss when I got home and it was like looking for a needle in a haystack...! :-[
Still bloody good to be out though!

Rob,

I have used a methylene chloride based paint stripper to remove an epoxy lining from a Mirage tank.
It worked OK, but I had to leave the stripper in the tank for a few days.

Also, and you are probably aware of this, but methylene chloride fumes are toxic and can be dangerous if inhaled in a confined environment.  Seem to recall it resulting in fatalities in some cases where it was used to remove bath coatings.
