What model and year is my 750

I bought a laverda 750, believed to be a 1974 750F

I think it may be earlier can anyone tell me?

Frame is 109??
Engine matches with 750* 109??

I left the last two numbers off for seci

It is a 2nd. series SF model, built from late1971, introduced for the '72 model year. With that frame/engine#, it seems to be a very late example of the model, SF1 started off in the 11000 range.

Looks like Ron's SF0 converted back to orig! Pretty bike regardless.

Why hasn't Ron's name been mentioned since he reappeared about 4 weeks ago? He's disappeared big time.

is your bike UK registered? I can provide you with a dating cert if you need it, all the above comments would seem to me to be correct., especially if it has 30mm VHB carbs. which I think I can see in the pictures.

is it late registered then? as a 74? maybe imported as a two year old.
actually quite hard to get DVLA to ever admit they have failed or made an error, so probably not worth trying to correct, but you can try if you like.

Try to find a longer speedo-cable and mount the right front-brake cover with the air-intake pointing straight forward. Looks better, works better... :)
Had the very same bike. Loved the sound of it... The model is sometimes refered to (but not officially named as) SF (0) to show it's between an SF (which had the knee-pads on the tank and smith clocks) and a SF1 (SF1 and SF0 share the same tank, ND Instruments and still Lucas switches, but SF1 has the "large" head and 36mm carbs with balancer pipe in the exhaust below the engine instead of in front of the eninge like SF and SF (0) ).
 
And SF(0) and SF1 had different mufflers - SF1 had the long cone Contis and the under-motor crossover, SF2/3 the short cone Contis. The 35mm Ceri SF2's might have had the long cone version as well. Doesn't really matter - they are what they are and there were shared bits on quite a few different models during transitions.
