What should be there?

Apologies, me again!
Stripping bike down to service various bits, but surely a piece of white plastic isn't what should be protecting battery/electrics from all the crud off the back wheel.
Could someone share what should be here.

There should be a stainless steel back mudguard with numerous brackets for everything.

You may want to get yourself a copy of Tim Parkers 'Green Book' or at the very least an Owner's Handbook

If this is a Montjuic , then I don`t think you will find any info , or pictures in the Green Book .........

The only twins it deals with are the 650/ 750cc ones ............

A sheet of white plastic is correct. My Mk2 Monty which is completely stock is that way.
It's the same part as fitted to the F500 race bike, part number 61 716 096.

That is the correct part for the bike. It's under the seat, why worry ?!
