What twin pot caliper? What pads?

I have these callipers fitted to my 1000SfC and want to be sure what model they are before ordering new pads.

I have found nearly the same and probably pads would fit but would like to know exactly where they came from.

They appear to be Brembo P4 - will all single pin pads for them fit or are there any variances.

Yep, P4 but generally referred to as Brembo 30/34 twin pot with single pin (as opposed to two pin). Not aware of other variances, but if you want to be certain talk to ducatipaddy

Thanks Rob have ordered the pads from Paddy, but missed the postman today so will be delivered tomorrow

I took my old pads to the local Ducati shop, Gowanlochs to be matched. This isn't easy just looking at pics on the web.

Whatever happened to cork as a friction material?
I remember watching my uncle replace the friction material on the drum brake shoes in his Morris Minor with cork pads. He glued the pads on with that horrible smelly animal glue that you heat up in a pot. Dunno how well it worked. I was only about 10 years old at the time. But knowing my uncle, the cork probably ripped off the first time he applied the brakes. He never did seem to grasp the basics of mechanical repair.
I also remember him trying to fill a dent in his car door by laying it flat on the floor and pouring molten lead into it. As soon as he stood the door up to bolt it back on, the big lump of lead fell out of the dent in the door and landed on his foot. My uncle was not the sharpest tool in the shed.
