Does anybody know dimensions axle centre to axle centre on a Ceriani 3CL is assume that dimension is with the rear axle pushed all the way forward.
I have seen a dimesioned picture of a 3C frame but it dowsnt have anything else.

Hi Maurice, I had a look at the german magazin "MOTORRAD" 6/1977. There is a table with the chassis data for the 1000 3CL: wheelbase 1486 mm.
And I had a look at the original 1000 3CL manual: wheelbase 1460 mm.

Ciao, Gert

,I just measured mine with rear  wheel fully forward..  58, " which converts to 1473mm on my computer..
measured using marks off floor transferred with spirit level...so probably not 100% accurate but pretty close  I'd have thought

Thinking about this, wouldn?t it vary according to the swinging arm deflection/fork compression?
Just sayin?.
twas thinking that myself is it on its stand or resting on the suspension?. Regards Andy 😁

Good points.. I think Maurice is looking for a measured reference that he can check against or easily duplicate .Static on stand would be the constant.. should have said.  Nice and easy, otherwise variable by weight of load as mentioned.
You could apply the same argument to the air pressure in a fork.

Thanks for all the replies just for the exercise bike resting on centre stand rear wheel fully forward standard offset Ceriani triple clamps standard Ceriani 38mm front forks and standard Ceriani rear shocks.
I am getting a dimension on one of my bikes at 1510mm axle centre to axle centre.

Mine is the same bike but has the wide web front wheel and an odd mudguard so I guess it was in a front ender..that might account for the difference between our two bikes..although my 1473 is pretty close to the green books. 1470..anyway I thought all our Laverdas were unique. :D

Ah! That will be the bike that Kel Wearne jumped the West Wyalong train tracks with on his road test then.
