Which Headlight bulb ?

Yes they don't come up very often, Mine came from our old friend Malcolm in pommyland http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/mcc0512/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686

Alternatives are Fiat 126 and 127 and early Guzzi Le Mans. Couldn't find one at the fiat wreckers all over OZ, but I seem to remember there being more of those old jiggers in unzud, you may have more luck there.

All the ones you see on ebay in europe are LHD so no good for use in a RHD country

which is a pity, 'cos they are dirt cheap!

The light's so shite that it only acts as a warning to other vehicles that you're coming through.  If it doesn't get through the MOT test with a light from a left hooker, just tape over the appropriate part of the lens.

When I was sorting the wiring train crash on Levos bike the other day, we also had to replace the H4 headlight bulb, grabbed one of my spares but the one I had was the modern one with the 3 tabs, known as the P43T base. His had the round base or P45T base from older units. This explains why I had to painstakingly move the P45T to P43T adapter from the LHD US headlight to the pommie RHD one, nearly wrecking it, however doing a bit of research just now (can't sleep, night off the piss dammit) I find you can get adapters.

They are made of hard plastic so may not suit the higher wattage bulbs but would certainly work with the standard wattage, increased light, bulbs.

Might help some of you who may have trouble getting the round base bulbs. Fortunately our local auto shop did have them so it wasn't a problem.

This is developing too much heat , bether way is to buy H5 bulb . It is in reality H4 with H2 fiting.

Huh? Wht's developing too much heat? How do you fit an H2 firring? Not sure I iunderstand what you mean?

H2 firring?? Come on Drikko, work it out man. ;)

If H1 = 1 x hot candle, then H2 = 2 x hot candles. The more candles, the brighter the light, but be careful, if you use H5, they draw too much currant & therefore the currants gets too hot. And, who likes burnt currants. Sheez!  :P

On Jota i have SFC750 firing , light is also from 750 in this light fits H2 bulb wich gives bad light .
There is posibility to instal H4 with this adapter , instaling adapter as my car electrician say builds too much heat , way to go is to instal H5 wich is H4 bulb and lower part (metal fitment) is from H2 , problem is resistance ( heat) thru wiring that can demage your wiring or on/off switch . To avoid this any car elecritian can instal you reley , this is how i have it since 5-6 jears and no problem at all , and never have to replace this bulb and light is very good.

Sorry, I'm with you now Romeo, yes it is good to install relays, I've done it to 2 of the RGSs here already, a few more to go.

Didn't realise the 750 ran H2 bulbs as my old SF2 ran H4's I think.

I bought firing from www.wbo-racing.de ( front mudguard , aluminium tank , firing , seat , this parts is now Ludi Boba replicating in Carbon ) , brckets -ruberring around light and light from 750SFC from OCT .
In this 750SFC light wich is from CEV fits H2 bulb , but aniway CEV light was bad after 1-2 jears chrome inside starts faling apart , this light is same as on old Ladas , fiat 124 or golf1 . In ex Yugoslavia was factory wich is in todays Slovenia name of factory is SATURNUS , dont konw if they still produce difrent light for difrent makes . At the end i find SATURNUS new/old stock light for GOLF1 H5 fits perfect and qality is very god.
2009 in SPa i saw light on Robs Jota with clear glas at the end i boght it in Louis store in Germany (about 30? it is all plastic even glas and very light , some chinese product) in few days whole set of Bobas carbon wil be paintet then i would try to instal this light , maybe with 90/100W bulb naturaly with realay.

Stock lighting in Breganze 750s was H4, irrespective of which headlight was fitted.  Perhaps the very earliest had pre-halogen bulbs.  Some/all(?) SFCs had a special bi-focal reflector using 2 H1(?) bulbs.

Piet i belive it is so , but i bought whole kit from OCT and light was CEV with H2 bulb , chek with Roger. Parts were new and in this light ( you know my bike) was chrome faling apart wery soon . This week paintjob must be finished ( we are going with clear coat filler to cover all smal wholes in carbon and then with clear lack/paint , this should give nice surface and this deep shine )on Bobas carbon  , i will fit this light that you bought for me in Louis , Tks.
