last week I switched on my sf '71 with salami mufflers for the first time. Rather noisy... it seemed a formation of fighter bombers was flying over our houses!
Neighbours looked at windovs, kids were running around like crazy, scared and screeming, sirens started and shelters were opened...
Then, did I switch off? Nooo, I hopened the throttle... 8)
Now I'm writing from my jail, it seems next week I will be released. Well, you know, I have plenty of time in these days, so I' working for the next firing...
What I have here is a cloth of ceramic fiber and a pipe from a leg of a chair coming from a swedish well known firm (the chair lasted like a boxer against Tyson in better days) and in the picture what I realized (if the picture isn't visible, it is attached too)
Now the question: I wonder if the setting of my carbouretors I will find with these silencers should be redo once I will remove'em. Do I run the risk to set the right mix with silencer and then it could be too poor once without?
And the second question is: Are my mufflers so noisy or is this the reason for witch at the seventies men started to wear very long hair, long sideburns and perms, many times lacquered in order to protect the hearing?
