Wiring harness differences between Series 2 and RGS?

Hi Guys, just had thisquery from Richard Prowse whose doing my new RGS wiring loom:
..."How much different is the RGA/RGS from the Series 2 Jota? "

Can anyone provide a reasonably detailed answer, and are there any sections common to both.

Ignition wiring is obviously different, but main loom is broadly similar.
For example the switchgear connector blocks are by the coils rather than up front.
Main issue might be the location of where the wires leave the loom sheathing may differ.

I have also used a BTZ series 1 loom on a 500, just had to modify where some of the wires poked out of the sheathing.
 
Not fantastically au fait with series 2 electrics, but - apart from the ignition - a significant difference is the S2 electrics plate which also has a plug/socket to hook up with the main loom.  The RGS doesn't.  Its fusebox & reg/rect are arranged differently physically too, as are the ignition boxes.  Lighting, starter & ignition switch wiring will be similar.
One thing to be aware of is the difference between early & late RGS - a 12 way (?) multi connector block separates much of the headstock wiring from the main loom (best way I can think of describing it - obvious when looking at the two diagrams!). Electrical functionality is unaffected...
 
Much appreciated Rob, not sure what to do now. I asked Richard Prowse to make one up as he had posted his details on Laverda Riders Worldwide claiming he had all the details from Richard Slater.  Don't want to pay ?300 for a harness that I then have to muck about with to make it work. Looks like a long winter with Covid, so maybe I'll do it myself, can't be that hard if it's all in front of me on the bike. Anyone any recommendations for multi-plug connectors.

Best thing is to see if anyone has a old wiring loom for an RGS,Alan James might on here or other members that way Richard (who I have used) can copy it ?Do you have you old one?

Hi Shaun, I think I'll do it myself. I have the loom still on the bike, but I really don't want to remove it as I will never remember how it all routes around the bike - no joke, the few breakdowns I've had have mostly been because I've routed a cable or a hydraulic line wrongly. If an old loom does pop up then I may get back in touch with Richard.
