Witt installation question

1200 series 1 BTZ. I bought a Witt DMC 2 (non Opti) from Wolfgang last week and he is yet to sent me the English install instructions and I don't want to bother him on the weekend. The documents section here only has instructions for the opti version and the 1000/1200 HKZ/cdi: it looks to me that these (HKZ) will work. My question is what do I do with the coil resisters? I'm thinking of removing them, yes? Also the install instructions show 6 wires from the ECU, I have 7 but 2 are black so I am assuming they are treated as 1 on the install wiring diagram.

Where do you guys mount the ECU?, I'm thinking somewhere under the tool tray behind the battery, but haven't had a good look yet to see if there's room.

The ECU? - there was quite a detailed discussion here:

Coil Resisters? - I think mine are in a bin/tip somewhere in Glasgow.
They are apparently there to prevent a surge which never arrives.

Stu,

The resistors are to be omitted.

Both black cables go to earth, attach one to the frame and the other directly to the battery (-) for reliability.

Originally BTZ equipped bikes can be treated as HKZ in regard to fitting the DMC, same hardware.  HKZ bikes required retro-fitting of a charging coil and a set of "normal" ignition coils.

Nothing much to balls up, the illustrations in the installation manual should guide you through the fitting procedure.  Tricky bit is making SURE your 32? advance marking on the flywheel is correct.  If you have the equipment and half a weekend to spare, use a piston stop and degree wheel.  A depth guage through an outer plug hole and the piston at 7mm BTDC is precise to within +/-1?. :D  After fitting, the ignition MUST be strobed and adjusted accordingly when set on curve #1.

Tool tray is very popular for mounting the DMC box.  But, for heavens sake, use the rubber mounts and don't be lured into wrapping the box in a rag and stuffing it in the tray. ::)
