Thanks for the reply Gert. Was that literally died or ceased racing? I would really like to know what happened to the bike Thomas raced in the TT Zero race, and whether any further development took place.
That’s a sad end for Thomas, and a shame nothing more came from the work they did on the race bike, which came second in the race, and used different batteries to the others.
The team continued and later they built an E-Münch and became e Power Intenational Champion in 2011 and 2012 with the driver Matthias Himmelmann. One time they were in Spa at the Bikers Classics.
WTF is XXL - Explain it to me ( Extreme Extra Large) ?
Surely Kenny Roberts on a Yamaha 2 stroke TZ 750 ?
Kenny Roberts had to be 40 to 60 lbs heavier then me at the same age. It's like comparing a Down Hill Ski Racer to a Salomon Racer (which I was) were I am Cafe with a Motorcycle at 20 to 40 or even 60 lbs lighter. He would not stand a chance looking at hell racing Cafe !
To me Cafe Racing really doesn't mean what motorcycle you have but you if can finish at the end of at least a 400 mile course through absolute crap and weather and finish first - You are the winner.
Don't get me wrong as Kenny was King for what he did. Just not my style of racing.
