Year of manufacture

who can help me? to get a license plate formy Laverda 1000 ( restoration project) i need to be able to prove its year of manufacture, the frame number is 1150, there is no further information available

The numbers started at 1000, ie. first production model was 1001.
1150 is, according to the Laverdamania Registry, 1973.

Ik snap dit niet. Als ik Laverdamania raadpleeg (laverdamania.net/registre-1000-180-192-1981/), staat er een productiejaar van 1972-1973 en Frankrijk (oorsprong Italië). Dat zou kunnen kloppen, want ik heb de fiets inderdaad in Frankrijk gekocht, ongeveer 35 km van de Italiaanse grens.


Als ik Laverdaclub (laverdaclub.eu/club-merk-historie/) raadpleeg, staat er dat de productie in 1972 is gestart. Een periode zoals 1972-1973 is echter niet voldoende voor mij; het exacte productiejaar moet controleerbaar zijn.

I don’t understand this. When I consult Laverdamania (laverdamania.net/registre-1000-180-192-1981/), it states a production year of 1972–1973 and France (origin Italy). That could be correct, as I did indeed buy the bike in France, about 35 km from the Italian border.


When I consult Laverdaclub (laverdaclub.eu/club-merk-historie/), it states that production started in 1972. However, a period such as 1972–1973 is not sufficient for me; the exact production year must be verifiable.

Are there two 1150's? Or is the one in the list shown as being in the UK the same one you have? There are plenty of restamped ones around.
