Zane 750 valve shim change

Hi, is it possible to actually get to the cam chain tensioner nut with the fuel tank and subframe in place in order to do the shims?

All I can say is that I've never had to ...  (scratch)

And certainly the workshop manual makes no mention of disturbing either tank or subframe  (book).
