I was bored today, so sat down with a rotary turntable, a dial guage, 3 sets of cams and an excel spreadsheet, just to see where it all went.

I've fkd up somewhere. the 750S exhaust can't be right.

The starting point was at the A or S on the sprocket.

It would be interesting to know the "real" way of doing this, and then how to "read" it. Don't try can't win...

Regards, Greg

PS I would have expected more variance in the ramps between the cams...
PS Y axis measurements are in Thou (of an inch)

Interesting reading Greg, and I am sure there are people better able than me explaining technical queries. All I know is, when Andy Bartlett was looking for the problem with one of my 668s - that only ran one one cylinder which turned out to be a snapped camshaft! - we found more than one version of a 668 cam....

true,

you find more info on https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&u=https%3A%2F%2F650.laverdaclub.ch%2Flaverda%2Findex.html (look on the left under "Motor => Camshafts")

The cams I measured were the S.075.272 and A.078.280. Based on the graphs my first go at this was not too far out. So the 650's and the 750 formulas had significant overlap, but the 750S overlap was minimal, hence, as Piet once said, more load on the starter motor...

Where is GregT on this :)
