Cool Videos

This video provides good information about piston production:

I didn't know, for example, that the piston pin offset only affects the noise of the engine.

I am not going with this guy, I personally think that the pin offset not only reduces the noise generated by the motor, it also significantly reduces the mechanical loads on the components. It is not only me but also Mahle (Pistons)
Cheers

Yes, I know that there are different opinions about OFFSET in this regard.
I've already had WAHL- and MAHLE-pistons. These large established manufacturers are often more geared towards the masses and are not as innovative.

When I look at the ingenious order and organization (actual data acquisition via iPad) at IRP and their well-known customers, I am sure that they know what they are doing.

New materials, new manufacturing possibilities and new insights into what happens in an engine during combustion also lead to new manufacturing methods.

I am currently making an offer for a small series of SFC 750 pistons (only in 80.2 and 80.4).
We'll see what comes out in terms of price.

When I were a lad ...

I had a pair of gauntlets just like that when I first started riding bikes. They were standard equipment back in those days, as were so called "flying boots" with wooly sheep skin lining, open faced helmets and Stadium goggles. I also had a "jet" style helmet like Tom's with foam padding inside it. My older brother Bob had a pudding basin helmet that had webbing straps in it rather than padding.
