Bellingen 2022

Just watched the ABC news, predicted 200mm of rain this weekend guess where and a flood watch on The Bellingen. Bloody hell
It was not that bad Vince. We got 100mm on Saturday and that bought the river up about 6 inches. Its allready dropped back about 4 of those inches. I reckon the BoM boys are a bit gun shy these days and have decided its better to be on the side of caution.
The Causeway is currently 6 inches deep.

Time for an update on where the Bello Rally is at.
1. Rally fees have been set at $50 per night or $100 for the weekend (per person) payable to CLQ. We are planning to provide you shortly a link where you can pay for Rally fees and regalia online direct to CLQ.
2. We will be butchering a yearling same as last time so the rally fees include the food. Note: If your a vego there will be plenty of fruit and Veg.
3. Grog will be BYO and there will be vehicles available to transport from the bottle shop to rally site. Note: There will be a cold room here.
4. You will need to bring your own Tent and Sleeping bags. I know this sounds obvious but we had people turn up last time without either. It will be chilly but there will be a good fire.
5. The Causeway is approx 100mm deep at the moment and we have done a fair bit of work to it to assist safe passage into the property.
6. The target is 50 Laverda's.

We are in the process of ordering Regalia.
Our Screen printers need quantity info for the Sloppy Joes, Tees (long and short sleeve) and Beanies.
As we do not wish to end up with too many left overs could I ask you for a rough indication of numbers. It would be helpfull if each club could put a rough list of numbers and sizes togeather for us ASAP. Note: if you are planning on comming and are not a member of one of the clubs please PM me direct so I can cater for your regalia needs.
If you do not let us know you want any regalia you may miss out!

Thats all for now but I will update soon with a Link for payment as mentioned above.

Cheers

Classic road racer injury, caught under a handlebar end. Makes washing your face hard, the water leaks past your missing digit. They did well to put it back by the looks of it. Nasty.

Blue suture thread seems to be the colour of choice these days. I had another skin cancer cut off the other day and the doc used blue thread. I go and see him every 3 months and he usually finds something to hack off. My cunning plan is that after 10 years I’ll end up with a facelift.

You are gunna be one good looking 80 year old rooster Cam.

I'm having a coffee break while still madly cutting and welding, making a pleasingly over-engineered luggage rack after a last minute bike swap. Had to bail on the Velo rally in CBR this weekend so as to make it to Bello.... priorities y'know. :)

Ordered new tyres last Monday and the f***wit distributors (Cassons - Metzler) have not even shipped them yet. I should have chased it up wednesday or thursday, so many services just don't seem to work anymore. Will be ok even presuming they don't arrive in time, they're legal now but the rear will be very marginal by the time I get home. Happily, my local services in QBN are still on the ball, tube benders and zinc platers both came through with top notch quick service for me.
