the ugliest bike

Just to add to the Münch story. These photos also taken on my visit to the P.S. Speicher museum. Having first looked over the original Münch motorcycles on display, IMHO, they are works of art and of a genius, I saw this 'modern' version. Thank you Herr T. Petsch for only making 13. I hope his other business ventures were more successful.
I find this one especially ugly. Just like the Horex, the Playmobil design cues on the engine are just repulsive.

never thought that the Münch 2000 is a good and nice bike. They just wanted to make profit with the old Münch history and create a bike with max. horsepower and they used some of Friedel Münch disign ideas like the closed chain box. But I think these boots are not made for walking, just a show bike for „ collectors.“

Here is my vote for the ugliest ....... MZ Trophy.

Now this is an unattractive motorcycle:
Sorry mate, but I totally disagree with your quote about the Mirage being unattractive. I bought mine 40 years ago and still in love with her...

I actually kinda owned one of these way long ago. "Kinda" because it was left with me by a friend moving out of the country who was supposed to send me the title so I could sell it. I rode it a few times. Wow, was it awful. Acceleration was blistering, handling was abysmal. Never got the title, gave it away to a fellow down the road who thought it was, in his words, "awesome."

They sometimes come up for sale around here, mint condition, less than $2000 Cdn, even then a hard sale.

This thing is close to unrideable so I hear and it's as ugly as sin but it's right up there for innovation. The Builder is well known to a few here. He has some great stories to tell.

yeah but if inovators never tried anything the world would not progress.
CLEM
Very true, Clem.

But do modern bikes need to be so obscenely fugly?? Surely a more conservative packaging would make many novelties a lot easier on the eye. Seems everythings needs to exude "aggressiveness" instead of just being "nice" these days.

Maybe we're just not the target group...
