3c spark plugs

removing the tank on 180's is a piece of piss, that centre plug thread is vulnerable to getting cross threaded and I wouldnt remove the plug (at home), without giving the pocket a strong blast of compressed air anyway, I use a 3/8th very long extension and a plug socket with a rubber insert, the very long extension gives you a good line on getting the plug straight, and as iis says, (strong pint here John) get it well and truly started by hand before using mechanical leverage to tighten it, I use a sliding tommy bar.

Removing the tank on 180s with a seat hinge is a piece of piss. On an earlier one, it means that you have 1 or 2 13mm spanners on hand.

when I had my SF1 as stock, (similar seat fixing to early triples) I had knurled thumbscrews for the (welded on) seat bolts, no spanners needed.
Have you not done that mod Paul?
anyway, even if spanners are needed, still a piece of piss to remove seat and then tank, I would rather do that than install a new clutch band in a TH400

nothing wrong with green gaskets excepting the horrible colour and they usually hang out of all the flange faces byt as much as 4mm and dont fit the stud holes very well either. apart from that.....

For the Stanco (Oz importers) 3CL in the Castrol 6 hour one year the plan was to swap tanks with chilled fuel instead of refuelling but the techs for the organising club wouldn't allow it, safety grounds, but it couldn't have been any more dangerous than gravity re-filling.
