I doubt it, the guy sold off everything except the frame and I couldn't get an answer out of him as to it's whereabouts so it has probably been disposed of because it had no papers. I'm going to put the engine in another bike, it doesn't look like it's done many kms either.

I have heard that the original green was a Lechler colour - Lechler Mint Green. Also that the full range of RAL colours only came out in the 90s so would be well after these bikes were painted green and really therefore only a close approximation of the original colour. So basically, pick a green you like and go with the flow.

Just from my own research chasing the green for my bike. May of course be all BS.

Oh, and beware any colour seen on your screen as the variability to real life is huge.

There is a company in the UK called RS paints- https://www.rsbikepaint.com/en-gb/colours.php, they can mix paint for most classic motorcycle colours. I am currently rebuilding a 1968 T120R, and RS paints have supplied the correct paint colour for that model year and I am very pleased with the finished result.
RS have Laverda paint colours on their drop-down list, but they don't have anything for 1976 1000cc models. I think that Davo's comment is sound advice and I think I'll get a sample before I buy.
I think the best option is to have a look at the 3CL displayed in the Lakeland Motor Museum again, I think that's as good a green as I'm going to get. I've fallen into this trap before; I rebuilt a 63 Bonneville many years ago and the colour for that year was Alaskan White, the finished job wasn't right at all so I mustn't make that mistake twice

I enjoyed reading the article about your Machine Hamish, I was confused as to which model it was initially but then the penny dropped this is an 'E' model. I read with interest that you'd traded your 73 Commando in to finance the Laverda's purchase. I have a 73 850 Commando I've owned that machine for 32 years and I have known it since it was brand new-long story.
