There were others before it. Majestic for instance was one.Pre-dates the Vincent D models. Very advanced.
Isn't that from the team who came out with the Suzuki Katana?
And the concept has gone forth and multiplied.Visited the Honda dealer in Bellingham, Washington 15 yrs ago with a couple buddies. We stood there looking at it, speechless, dumbfounded. The sales manager walked up to us, and said “Know what DN-01 stands for?” “Do Not-own One”.

Exactly. Hans A. Muth . But I think, it was rather a one-man show than a team.Isn't that from the team who came out with the Suzuki Katana?

European towns are full of DN1 type two wheelers in the form of big scooters.Only seen this one image. IMHO, just me, It looks like a union of Futuristic and Historic elements. Personally I do not like it. Not that I am against all such unions, just from this one image, this idea failed to positively excit me. I know of two other styling projects of Hans Muth that I like very much, but not this one.
As for the Honda DN-01; I don't know but I hope there is no DN-02. I realize that I am not the "Target" demographic. Also that I imagine the goals for modern day designers is difficult; having to hide all of the mandated bits and make the resultant package appeal to as many people as possible
This reminds me of a comical, but truthful email I received today. (The last sentence.)
I will get down off the soap box now.

What is really unfortunate is that two wheeled transport of any sort wasn't promoted 30 or 40 years ago. Most urban areas are congested and polluted beyond reason and rather than develop free public transport and make individual means of transportation impractical, powers that be have just carried on promoting individual transport, mainly the car, only electric powered. I doubt that within 10 years time, it'll be possible to access any European town with an internal combustion engine. Towns will still be as congested, but with electric vehicles, for the benefit of an economic system unable to reform. Unless young people can change that.Not surprised Paul, just sad. I assume scooters (plus MCs and bicycles) are useful and effective modes of personal transportation in Metro areas. I will do everything in my ability to never live in such an area. (We'll see how that works out) Currently I am in the far suburbs of Chicago and I am spoiled I only have to ride 30 minutes to get to farmland country. But I realize that I am becoming surrounded.
Nature=Rejuvenates, Refreshes, Revives
City= Stifles, Compresses, Restricts, Limits (just so many transitory distractions you don't notice)
Darn! On the Soap box again!
