Rear Rim offset Grimeca Hub

Hydraulic, in fact the very same (now quite sought after ‘three rib’) caliper and pump as were the most popular in racing throughout the 70ies.

If you want to see offset in very common use, look at the rear wheel of any multi-sprocket bicycle rear wheel. The drive side spokes will be almost vertical., while the non-drive will have a decent triangulation angle.

Ideally the strongest wheel will be 'unibalanced', meaning the angle of left and right spokes will be the same, have the same length, and the rim centre will be dead centre of the hub flanges (the spokes creating a triangle with two sides equal in length - the strongest form).

I remember lacing wheels in Honda school during the late '70s with the instructor talking about offset. In the last couple of years I have watched Vids on lacing with ZERO mention of offset. Maybe offset doesn't matter with stock parts. But I think with aftermarket parts it would be critical.
