Forget Boba.would anyone know where to get a new or used montjuic mudguard. I have tried on a number of occasions to contact Boba but no reply.
The 750 SFC mudguard won’t fit the Monty, Paul.Forget Boba.
If he replies, he'll take your money and you'll never see the mudguard.
Usual suppliers will supply a 750 SFC guard which is what you want.
Paul
Fintan I’ve sent some photos to you, it may or may not be of use to you.Laverdian, if you have one please contact me. And Paul thanks for the reply.
Photos sent a couple of hours ago. Click on the envelope icon at the top of the page, to the right of your username.thanks for the replies. Laverdian, Could you send me the photos. I have a good mudguard on it but it isn't the correct montjuic one. Whatever about the condition of the paintwork etc I would like the main parts to be match the originals in appearance.
I could be looking all day and I wouldn't have come across so many options - thanks. For information I measured the mudguard that is on the bike against the 705 SFC laverdian has and it matches well enough on all points except the distance between the bolt points on each side ( 750 SFC = 7.5cm, montjuic = 5.8cm). The width across the lower legs (bolt point to bolt point) is about 14cm on each, the mudguard on the laverda 500 alpino is 10.8cm wide whereas the 750 SFC is 10cm.
I am going to try Wilfried Grahl (Luigi on the forum) before making a move
This certainly looks like an early front mudguard. Looks like the one on this F500. Always thought they never followed the circumference of the the tyre, like they were meant for a 19" wheel ??Copilot says "early" Montjuics used Jota mudguards. "Later" type are clamp on but it doesn't cite a source. This is the one fitted to my W reg bike so I supose the early version [but note I don't know if it's correct or not]View attachment 104402
