music in the shed

Going through a girlie group faze at the moment ..........

Here`s Fuzzbox ........ who used to be " We`ve Got A Fuzzbox And We`re Going To Use It " ...... the longest group name in living history ?

( The groups name was abbreviated to avoid confusing the Americans ... ) .........

...... which got me thinking about longest album titles .......

Best so far is Tyrannosaurus Rex`s " My People Were Fair And Had Sky In Their Hair .... But Now They`re Content To Wear Stars On Their Brows " ........

Beat that ...........

RIP Jo Dunne

Heard this on the radio today , which reminded me of what a great record it is ...........

671 million YouTube views ....... about the same number of cars on the road at 11 am on a typical Wednesday morning .........

All these people " working from home " presumably .........

More female vocals ............

Doesn`t seem to be referring to the mythical town , or the Islamic diet ........

The only thing left is something to do with understanding and forgiveness ( Asian style ) ....... So it must be that ............

Not a huge country fan but this has some funny lyrics and a surf vibe a la Chris Isaac or some of Nick Lowe's stuff with Los Straightjackets. Or Mark Knopfler Boom Like That, to belabor a point. Fun video, I thought.

I partied with Deb Conway once a long time ago when we were both a lot younger. It was in the mid 1980's. I'd have been in my early 30's and she in her late 20's. She was doing a solo gig at the Wheatsheaf Hotel in Hobart (pub no longer exists). She would have been in the band "Do Re Mi" at the time who'd just had a hit with "Man Overboard" so her career was taking off, which was probably the reason I went to the gig in the first place. When another band came on after her set, she came over to the bar and started chatting to me, much to my surprise. I dunno why she picked me out of all the better looking blokes in the bar. Maybe my slightly unkempt appearance and beat-up leather bike jacket appealed to her. Anyway, we seemed to get on pretty well, had a few dances and drinks together. I thought I might be going to get lucky that night, but alas, when the music acts wrapped up at around midnight she kissed me goodnight and disappeared, never to be heard from again.

Not so much a shed tune ....... ( mushy or otherwise ) ......

More of an out on the road , death grip on the bars , bearing down on that car in front far too quickly sort of tune .......

" Bury it into the red till you can`t breath through fear , then knock off 1000 rpm ......... this is your cruising speed "....... as Bike magazine once said ........

....... Those were the days ........... ( Sigh ) ..............
